Beddingkaj
Quay 700, 701
New quay for constructing and fitting out fishing vessels and maritime services
Beddingkaj is one of the places in the Port of Thyboron where new fishing vessels are built. They are typically fitted out over a six-month period in front of the Thyborøn Skibs & Motor A/S shipyard, located quayside at Beddingkaj. The quay is also widely used for the repair and conversion of vessels.
There is free Wi-Fi at the quay, and easy access to electricity, water and other supplies. The emergency station is also located at the end of Beddingkaj.
Good working conditions ensure good quality
The conditions under which the work is performed affect both the quality and the efficiency with which the work is carried out. The excellent new quay gives shipyard engineers very good working conditions.
Sulehav Newbuilding
Sulehav was fitted out at Beddingkaj by Thyborøn Skibs & Motor as the main contractor. It is a Norwegian fishing for human consumption vessel, and currently fishes in Norwegian waters. It was a huge construction project where everything was installed, from the engine and drivetrain to fishing equipment, a sorting system, welfare facilities, bedrooms and the bridge, with all electronic equipment, in a huge collaboration between the companies at the Port of Thyboron.
Easy access for cranes
Numerous lifts are performed during the construction and repair of the many different vessels on Beddingskaj. Easy access for cranes is a must.
