Historic cargo terminal in Thyboron
Sydhavnskaj is currently used primarily for shipping residues from the FMC chemical factory using a specially approved port facility. The quay is the oldest cargo terminal in Thyboron. The water depth of 4.5 metres limits how many types of cargo vessels are able to call at the quay. But there is safe all-weather navigation for the vessels that are able to, in the well-protected harbour basin. The quay is also suitable as a layover quay for barges and shallow water vessels.
The quay offers easy access to power and water, and allows vessels to dispose of ship waste and slop oil in an eco-friendly manner.
