Tankskibskaj
Quay 809, 810, 600
Multifunctional quay for offshore, transit fishing and small cruise vessels
Tanskibskaj is centrally located in the port and ideal for a range of activities. Smaller jack-up vessels are permitted to jack up here, and offshore supply vessels like to use the quay for mobilisation due to the easy access for cranes and maritime services. Transit fishing vessels have had a tradition of using the quay due to its very easy access for trucks.
There is easy access to electricity, water and other supplies on the quay, and vessels can dispose of ship waste and slop oil in an eco-friendly manner. Finally, Tankskibskaj is one of the quays at the Port of Thyboron at which a sewerage connection is available.
Central quay
Tankskibskaj is very centrally located, close to the port office and just inside the entrance to the port. It is only a short distance from the town centre, making this quay attractive to crews.
Mobilising offshore supply vessels
Tankskibskaj is ideal for mobilising various offshore vessels. The quay is ISPS-compliant, allowing project teams to work without disruption. There is also easy access for cranes and service companies.
Jack up location for smaller vessels
Tankskibskaj is one of the two sites at the Port of Thyboron approved for jack-up manoeuvres. Smaller jack-up vessels are permitted to jack up at Tankskibskaj.
Geotechnical seabed documentation for the quay, such as CPT data, can be provided.
Transit fishing with easy access for trucks
Transit fishing has a long history on Tankskibskaj. The quay’s easy access for trucks makes it ideal for landing fish and handling new fishing boxes.
Quay approved for cruise ships
Nordstjernen became the first cruise ship ever to call at port in Thyboron in spring 2019. It became quite a draw card, and the event was greatly enjoyed by the many German guests aboard the historic vessel, as well as the many locals who came to the quayside to welcome it.
